Mindfulness & Meditation

Susie discovered Vipassana meditation in 2003 and has been practicing since then. Spending more than 17 weeks on retreats she has been fortunate to have had a number of inspiring teachers along the way. A growing desire to share these teachings led her, in 2011, to start a weekly sitting group that she has been facilitating in Brussels. In 2012 she created a 5-week meditation course entitled “A Wholehearted Life”, and since then several hundred people have attended this course. In 2019/20 Susie deepened her understanding of Mindfulness with teachers Martin Aylward and Mark Coleman at the Mindfulness Training Institute.

Susie regularly offers a 6 week introductory training in mindfulness , the next one will start on 18 February 2021.

In 2012 Susie initiated a 5-week course called “A Wholehearted Life: Finding Freedom through Yoga and Meditation”. Meeting once a week for 2 hours and practicing daily, we explore our experience of life. This course is offered 2 or 3 times a year.

With Yoga&Sound partner Henri, who is also a Vipassana meditator, we organise a day retreat every few months called “Harmony Sunday”. This day of silence includes yoga, sound relaxation and guided meditations.

For the last 9 years we have invited meditation teachers and founders of Sangha Seva, Zohar Lavie and Nathan Glyde, to come to Brussels to give a weekend retreat at the end of the summer. During the pandemic they have been offering us live online sessions.
