All are welcome at this 2-hour yoga & meditation session, bringing together embodied movement, breath awareness & mindfulness. We will be exploring those elements within our practice that bring us into simplicity and ease. How is our experience transformed by a ‘simple’ act of giving attention to a body sensation, a movement of breath or a quality of mind? How does the quality of attention, the flavour of it, make a difference? When we attend to our experience and the world around us in this way, we naturally lean towards joy, appreciation and beauty.

The state of simplicity can be both one that we intuitively move towards as well as one that is cultivated and intentional. Whether we look through the lens of our yoga practice or our day-to-day life, simplicity could be defined in terms of absence: un-complicating, un-doing, renouncing, letting go; and it could be experienced as presence: of ease, lightness, clarity and essence. A way of treading lightly on this earth.

This is a donation based session with proceeds going to the “Les Amis du Bordet”, a charity supporting the cancer hospital Bordet in Brussels, and funding cancer research. This session is inspired by and in honour of Susanna Malzacher who died one year ago at Bordet. Friend, artist, qi-gong teacher and co-founder of Roots ASBL, she exemplified grace and the beauty of simplicity.
