During the session we will be exploring this quality and capacity of responding to ourselves, others and the world with understanding. Connecting to and cultivating the compassionate heart we can attend to our needs & hurts with understanding, warmth and kindness.

How do we habitually talk to ourselves when things don’t go well ? We can have an inner judge or critic that puts us down and creates feelings of hatred, guilt and shame. When we are uneasy with discomfort our habit might be to jump into ‘fixing’ mode or look for avoidance strategies.

During this session we will explore how we habitually react to discomfort and see how responding with a compassionate heart can be so beneficial and healing. How does this attitude of care effect our practice and way of relating to our experience in body, mind and heart?

There will be reflection, movement and meditation.

“World peace must develop from inner peace. Peace is not just mere absence of violence. Peace is, I think, the manifestation of human compassion.” Dalai Lama
